	MISSION AND OBJECTIVES

To promote the updating of the normative system in Ecuador.

To strengthen local authorities.

To offer technical advice to government and private organizations that are involved in the process of social participation.

To run a service center for the community.

To do research, promote and lead activities and projects towards the protection and conservation of nature, the ecosystem and to foster sustainable development.

To promote studies, research and projects fostering citizen involvement in democratic institutions.

To help develop rural and urban regions.

To fight poverty and improve the standard of living of the community.

To provide training to those who are part of or want to become part of the government sector at all levels, as a way to better their management level, effectiveness and efficiency.

To encourage the decentralization processes of the government sectors.

To study, research, promote and disseminate the democratic thoughts and institutions, and encourage their strengthening.

CESC MISSION

The CESC tries to strengthen the democratic institutions for the fulfillment of their duty as established in the Constitution and Laws, and to encourage citizen participation in the public administration.
